The note “F” is the sixth letter of the musical alphabet (situated between E and G Major) and is the fourth tone of the C Major scale. This is known as the subdominant and is identified as “Fa” in solfeggio.
“F” is the line in which the two dots of the bass clef are either side of. The symbol for bass clef is a stylised “F” and therefore it is called the “F Clef”.
